Vancouver 2010 {Vancouver, Whistler, Pemberton photographer}

Whew! What an awesome 17 days we just had here in Whistler. Whistler was the host mountain resort for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic games. We had 3 fantastic venues with tonnes of great sport action & I don't think I have ever felt a better vibe than I did in February in the Village.

Highlights?

  • Hearing about Alexandre Biledeau's gold medal, a first for a Canadian on home soil (or snow!)
  • Watching the victory ceremonies with my family in the Village
  • Hanging out at Canada Olympic house a couple of days a week
  • Watching the Men's Super G from the (free!!) viewing pods on Whistler Mountain
  • Seeing the sportsmanship of Manny Osborne-Paradis after a fall ending his run for the day, stand up and smile & wave at the crowd
  • Listen to cowbells & O Canada on a daily basis
  • Watching the Men's gold medal goal in the Town Plaza
  • Listening to my 2 year old yell "Go Canada!"
  • Watching Canada take Gold & Silver in Whistler in Ladies 2 person bobsleigh
Yup, it was an awesome once in a lifetime experience. Here are just a few shots of those memorable days:
